Low Carbon Contracts Company/Electricity Settlements Company (LCCC/ESC)

The Electricity Settlements Company (ESC), often referred to as the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC), carries out the obligations of the Capacity Market Settlement Body to manage Capacity Market payments. This includes holding credit cover for Capacity Auction participants and conducting meter assurance.

Electricity Market Reform - Delivery Body (EMR-DB)

The EMR-DB is responsible for a wide number of activities in relation to the Regulations and the Capacity Market Rules. The Delivery Body has a number of deliverables in relation to the Capacity Market including the preparation, delivery to the Secretary of State and publication of an annual Electricity Capacity Report, containing an assessment of the amount of capacity that is needed for a Delivery Year.
